San Francisco Giants

In San Francisco since 1958, the San Francisco Giants play at AT&T Park in San Francisco, California. Here is a look at the San Francisco Giants.

The 1905 San Francisco Giants were, at the time, still the New York Giants. They went on to beat the Philadelphia Athletics in the World Series, the last time the Giants have beaten the Athletics in a post season game to date. It was also the first World Series for them, and they would win four more before relocating to San Francisco.

The current San Francisco Giants logo features a baseball with the word “Giants” superimposed over it. You can see this on the arm of the San Francisco Giants home jersey. They have the initials “SF” on their caps.

If you want to get your own San Francisco Giants clothing online at their official website. There you can also get items such as a San Francisco Giants backpack, a San Francisco Giants sticker, and other items of San Francisco Giants apparel. You can also see the current San Francisco Giants schedule, the San Francisco Giants spring training schedule, and buy San Francisco Giants tickets to either while you are online.

The San Francisco Giants Stadium is currently known as AT&T Park, though the location changes its name almost as often as the San Francisco Giants game schedule. It is an open-air baseball stadium that also hosts the Emerald Bowl every year. It has been called AT&T Park since 2006. Prior to that it was known as SBC Park for two years, and it was originally known as Pacific Bell Park when it opened in 2000.

When considering the Giants, you may also want to think about who owns the San Francisco Giants. The current owner is Peter Magowan, who bought the franchise with a group of investors in 1993 from Bob Lurie. Lurie had almost sold the team to St. Petersburg, which is now the home of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Magowan wasted no time making his mark, signing Barry Bonds immediately. He is also credited with the construction of AT&T Park, the current home of the Giants. It was the first privately funded ballpark that had been built for Major League baseball in decades.

Before coming to the Giants, Magowan was Safeway’s chairman and CEO. He also works with Caterpillar, Inc., DaimlerChrysler, and Spring Group, PLC. He comes from a long line of businessmen, his grandfather, Charles Merrill, being one of the founders of Merrill Lynch & Company.
