My personal favorite as a play on words is the humble “The Mighty Doormats.”

For the less witty, a good idea in naming a team is to pick your favorite team, use the city and then think of a short plural noun to follow the city that starts with the same letter. So, for example, Detroit Drips is a name that will avoid any negative attention and is easy to remember for you and for others. You can also use your hometown instead of your favorite team’s city instead. As long as your team name is short and easy to remember, you are sure to be remembered, assuming you can build a good team. Using baseball lingo in your team name is another good way to get some recognition. Using your last or first name with some baseball lingo is a safe way to maintain originality in your naming. So, a solid name might be Brian’s Bombers. Try to stay original in your naming and avoid offensive names and your team will be remembered by others making your fantasy team popular amongst your competition.
