Custom Baseball Hats

Part of running a baseball team means having custom baseball hats. Baseball hats can bring a team together like nothing else, as a baseball hat can be worn with any set of clothing and can act as something only the team has. You can have your custom baseball hats made at just about any sporting goods store that makes custom baseball hats. Many teams choose to use a logo that’s already in use by a popular baseball team. But custom baseball hats can be a welcoming thing for a baseball team, as you can have the entire team come together to choose what the logo will be on the hat and what the hat should look like.

Custom Baseball Team Hat

Custom baseball hats have been around since the beginning of baseball itself. Custom baseball hats were in use during the 1953 season when there was an exciting post season in the Major Leagues. The American League featured the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Indians. The Yankee offense featured a couple of .300 hitters in Hanke Bauer and Gene Woodling and the long ball from Mantle and Berra, and the longest ball of all from Mantle. It came on April 17, at Washington’s Griffith Stadium. Batting against southpaw Chuck Stobbs, Mantle took a mighty swing and launched a mighty blow. The ball carried over the left-field bleachers and over the street behind the bleacher wall, and came to earth in an alley across the street.

Measurement determined that the ball had been airborne some 565 feet. The shot established Mantle as one of the all-time long-distance hitters, bracketing him with such of the powerhouse elite as Babe Ruth and Jimmie Foxx, the recognized barons of the long, long home run. The runner-up Indians had a few busters of their own, most notably third baseman Al Rosen, who turned in a sensational season that earned him a unanimous vote for most valuable player. Rosen led the league with 43 home runs and a whopping 145 runs batted in .Al missed the Triple Crown by a single batting point. Cleveland’s Larry Doby hit 29 homers and drove in 102 runs, but the free-swinging Doby also set a new American League record by striking out 121 times. Cleveland’s usually superb mound staff was not effective as in years past and they didn’t end up winning the pennant.
