The Toronto Blue Jays hold a distinction throughout baseball. They are the first non-U.S. team to win the World Series, as well as the only non-American team in the League.

The history of the Toronto Blue Jays has been an exciting one. Perhaps their best years were the 1992 and 1993 seasons.
At the completion of the 1991 season, Jack Morris joined the Toronto Blue Jays. The 1992 season went well for them and the won their second American League East crown. For the Toronto Blue Jays, the 1992 World Series was a highlight for many of the players. They faced the Atlanta Braves. Game 2 saw a 9th inning home run by Jeff Reardon that put the Blue Jays in the lead. By game six, the Blue Jays were only ahead by one game, making the World Series anyone’s bet. On run in the bottom of the 11th, and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Atlanta Braves. This was the first time that a team from outside the United States won the World Series.
Running on momentum from 1992, the Blue Jays had seven great All-Star players: Devon White, Roberto Alomar, Paul Molitor, Joe Carter, John Olerud, Pat Hentgen, and Duane Ward. The moved on to get a 95-67 record which won them their third division title. They ended up beating the Philadelphia Phillies for their second World Series win in a row. It was also the only time in history where a team won the World Series with a walk-off home run.
