The New York Yankees history has been an exciting one. The New York Yankees have won more World Series than any other baseball team. The team has also been home to some of the greatest baseball players of all time, including: Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantel, Derek Jeter, and Babe Ruth.

The New York Yankees were originally the Baltimore Orioles, and the team moved to New York in 1903. This trade would end up haunting the Red Sox for years to come, as the “Curse of the Bambino” and helped to set the Yankees on their way to win 26 World Series Pennants.
